What is induction
cooking?
Induction cooktops use the power of magnets to
cook your food. The cooktops produce an electric
current that causes the molecules in your
cookware to heat up. Essentially it is your
cookware – not your burner – that is the element
that cooks your food. Because the induction unit
surface does not reach extremely high
temperatures, the risk of being accidentally
burned is practically eliminated. The smooth
surface of the induction cooktop will not burn
food to its surface should your pot overflow,
eliminating unsightly stains. Induction cooking
is also far more energy efficient than gas or
electric cooktops, making it a truly attractive
option. Four induction burners, “Power
Boost” on all burners, electronic touch
controls, child safety control lock, automatic
warm-up function, pot recognition sensors, four
residual heat indicators, only 2” deep. Air
ventilation is required. Pots must have magnetic
characteristics.
